"Deeper shade of blue" - Steps
We begin with Steps's finest three minutes.
The album "Steptacular" demonstrated the group's growth, they were able to make harmonies work; this song added some darkness into the presentation.
It's a futuristic club banger, made even more compelling by the video. Mmm, the video.
An early contender for Song of the Night.

"Life story" - Angie Stone The voice of Mantronix went solo with this song, full of soul and paying tribute to the Motown of the seventies. Taken from the album "Black Diamond", which is chock-full of genius like this. #TOTP #AngieStone
