@kristiedegaris@mastodon.scot since you’re in the area Alnwick Castle is worth a look. Makes you realise just how wealthy these people actually were.
I believe the modern gardens are excellent but I haven’t been.
And allegedly, Alnwick has the largest secondhand bookshop in England.

@peterbrown@mastodon.scot I've been before and honestly had the time of my life! It's closed while we are there for renovations or something but will go back in the summer with the kids for sure. Will definitely be going to the bookshop though! Thanks for the tip!
