@AncTreat5358@mindly.social @autistics @actuallyadhd It used to be that poetry did basically zero for me. It was all about music and while sometimes the lyrics spoke to me, they rarely did. Then, I met some really excellent poets who performed their work and it clicked. "Oh. Good poetry does exist its just buried in junk." Reading poetry feels like reading a musical score, like sure you can do it but why? I want to see a performance. Rhymes do nothing for me on their own. I never got into rap either.
