So, half a century ago we got Earthrise, an image that reset humanity’s view of its place in the universe. Now, seen with the perspective of a million kilometres, the earth is setting. Right now it feels like Earthset is all we have been aiming at for the intervening 56 years. The Earth will rise again. It does not care if we are here to celebrate. Are people looking at that amazing image and thinking that? Or thinking “It’s probably AI”?
