been using noise-canceling headphones for the first time in my life. i feel like people have been telling me "dude it's worth it, especially for sensory overload" for years but holy shit: they really are great for sensory overload

@platinumtulip@sunny.garden active noise canceling can be a lot different between headphones. I have some Steelseries Overear Headphones that have very lackluster anc, and I got some Epos in-ear plug thingies that have the best anc I've ever had. I was in a plane and didn't hear the typical plane motor noises AT ALL!
