Once again, I was given a task to work on which looks to be #LLM generated #AIslop. The ticket is labeled as "Research" which we use for cases where we need to take a deeper look into our ancient code base, maybe do some reverse-engineering and get a general understanding of how things currently work before we can even begin to think about changing anything. The result of processing such a ticket is commonly a high-level technical breakdown which parts of the system will have to be changed or expanded to implement the desired functionality. In this case however, the likely #AI generated acceptance criteria call for things to already be implemented and working. To me, a human being with working brain cells, reading through documents like this is incredibly exhausting. It feels like listing to the mumbling of a toddler and trying to figure out what they want to communicate when their mind just seems to be all over the place while they are trying to make sense of the world.
