I haven't done much research into other air cleaners, but have heard good things about AirFanta's products, at least one of which can be collapsed into a smaller space for storage or travel. I don't know what type of filters it takes. If I were on a computer, I would check before posting this, but I'm on my phone and don't have enough data for much web browsing, sorry. I'm hesitant to recommend a specific respirator, because what is comfortable for one person may not be comfortable for another. I wear respirators approximately 12 hours every day, even when there's no smoke, and for me, the most important feature is wide, comfortable straps that go all the way around my head.
