I wrote a novel last year using the help of AI. Frustrated by the lack of novels that suited my taste (the publishing industry really publishes an extremely narrow range of books these days), I decided to just write a novel using AI. I've had an idea for a story for the longest time but I doubted anyone would ever write it (at least in English). So, I asked AI to co-write it with me. In my case, it was good that AI wrote the copy because it felt like I was really reading a novel written by someone else. It's like I got an author to write a story I want to read. I ended up rewriting 80% of it, but I completed the novel in a month. I will never publish it - it's a story I created for my own enjoyment. This is probably confounding to people, that anyone would do this, but it's like ordering a custom made novel to my specifications. Till this day it's one of my favourite novels! I reread 85 often. I will never publish it, and if I do share it, it will never be for profit. I was wondering if this could be a use case in the future…the ability to custom order a novel. But that could make many writers uncomfortable….
