Is it really a fascist lie? At least in the U.S. the educational burden has certainly increased. The cost of living, the closing of schools and combining of districts, the stagnant wages of teachers, the shortage of teachers due to the stagnation, the automation of jobs is removing apprenticeships, LLMs do not teach as well as doing things hands on. The influence of social media is still a strong pull and media literacy feels like it’s at a low in the U.S. I have a feeling in the next decade we’re going to start seeing the consequences as boomers age out of legacy jobs and automation takes the place where educated workers used to.
