@NVAccess@fosstodon.org Also whenever I set my volume via the run dialog to 8% and save the config it no longer stays especially when I exit or restart NVDA and on the sign in and log on screens I can't set the volume to 8% in the settings menu as it says that the action isn't availabe on those screens no matter what I do!

@cub80_appleby@mastodon.stickbear.me After you set things how you want and exit the settings dialog, press NVDA+control+c to save your settings. NVDA DOES have a setting in general settings to "Save settings on exit". If that is checked it SHOULD save when NVDA exits, but if you've unchecked that it would explain the settings not being saved. Once you've saved your settings how you want them on the logon screen, go into the general settings (NVDA+control+g) and the "Use currently saved settings during sign in"
