I can do what I want because you're not prepared to put it all on the line to defend the small guy. But in fact, the EU is made up of a whole series of small guys. If you don't defend the small guy, Putin will take all the small guys, one at a time. You have to stand up to bullies. As we learned in ww2, appeasement does not work. You let just this one country go and then they'll be happy? We tried that with Hitler.
