Honestly, it would be asking for trouble (aka downright stupid) to engage, so the lack of responses should be reassuring that the mental faculties of Linux developers are still intact.

Not so reassuring from a moral standpoint. Greg probably knows all of this and was evil from his part encouraging the poor guy to post.
