I've extended my mudguard on the front of my bike with an old inner tube. Bike and myself stay clear when cycling through puddles etc..

@debbie@mendeddrum.org I had a BMX size bike tyre sidewall burst on me during a ride. The tube was ok, just on the outside of the tyre. I raided a public bin for 'spares', cut open a drinks bottle, and wrapped it in paper, to line the inside of the burst tyre. I was able to finish the ride like that. #MakersHour
