i gave a talk about technology and job searching today! two points I think fedi might find interesting: 1. new unique online job ads in the UK are at the same level they were during 2020 (I.e. during a nationwide economic shutdown) 2. the discrimination based on race, gender, sex, ability etc. that automated application filtering/ranking systems demonstrate is in fact already illegal but we're doing nothing about it!!!! wtf!!!!!
