What I said was essentially about how your Western interpretation doesn’t universalise cleanly. It’s rather disingenuous to impose a framework derived from the reality of the imperial centre onto a post-colonial reality without acknowledging that the material conditions of the periphery and the imperial core are not interchangeable under imperialism right after being made aware of the distinction.
