@temporal_spider@masto.ai Govee products have two major gotchas for local connection with HA.
1. They need an internet connection. If they are cut off from the Internet they behave erratically and have annoyong local connection issues.
2. You have to turn on LAN mode for each product in the Govee app.

@nurgus@mastodon.social thank you, I didn't realize that. Can you recommend an alternative? I'm just learning about the many varieties of led stuff. It's confusing, but I'm quite willing to get new lights.
