@WeirdWriter@caneandable.social the text by @thisislieven@c.im is good, although the additional coloring is more calico than tabby in my experience. I get a feel from my looking at the portrait of that young cat. I'm offering my thoughts for your alt consideration. Young cat, less than a year old, has pink nose and vibrantly blue eyes, creamy white chest, whiskers, and face up to the calico markings of orange and brindled black on her cheeks, forehead, extending over her shoulders and back. She gazes slightly to her left, sunlight and a wonderful world reflected in those innocent eyes.
Calico markings statistically mean it's a girl kitty.

@MossyQuartz@social.vivaldi.net @WeirdWriter@caneandable.social I am no cat expert and, frankly, cats tend to love me more than I love them. That's to say I may well be wrong but as I understand it that 'M' marking on their forehead is what makes it a tabby. My approach to alt text is to be descriptive enough that you get an idea of what's in the image but beyond that focus more on what it evokes and, often, add something a little funny or unexpected. Not saying one way or the other is better but that's how I like to do it.
