@kims@mas.to just popped in to say that I stayed in Tonopah and did not stay in the Clown Motel. That’s all.

@ThisCJ@mastodon.nz Colin. Colin... You visited the US. From New Zealand. And you somehow decided that *Tonopah* -- a city 211 miles north of *Las Vegas* -- was an unmissable place to visit? I get that a lot of people (rightly) think Vegas is a hellhole. But Tonopah? The Clown Motel is the #1 listed tourist attraction in Tonopah, so I can only imagine you were there for the rock climbing [I would also guess stargazing, but I still remember what the night sky looked like from Jeremy's house 30 miles north of Wellington and I can't imagine it's better here. Except our moon doesn't have a rabbit on it]
