If you're on a server too small to populate the Trending section you can add that account to a list and then use the "Hide members in Home" option to have a dedicated home rolled Trending section.

@lily@homestead.social @trending@homestead.social How to: 1. In the Mastodon web view go to "Lists" 2. Click the "+" sign in the top right 3. Give the list a name in the "List name" field. In our case it will be "Trending" 4. Enable the "Hide members in Home" option 5. Click "Create" 6. This will take you to the "Manage list members view" 7. Search for the aggregator account. In our case this will be @trending@homestead.social 8. Click the "Add" button next to the desired aggregator account 9. Click "Done"
