As it turns out, finasteride can be uniquely toxic to some people, since it's both an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and also prevents the formation of various neurosteroids which would otherwise buffer against the toxic effects. I'm going off it to preserve my memory, as it's been very seriously impaired lately. The flipside is I'm talking to my GP about doing adjunct progesterone with my CPA, and this could potentially improve my neurosteroid status! Very excited to continue doing mad science on myself.
