Looking into the story itself more, it appears to be from 2022. A representative of the Blue and White Party proposed at board meeting of Himnuta, an Israeli firm under the Jewish National Fund that "buys" Palestinian land, to purchase and annex Greek territory. Apparently all but one of the other board members of Himnuta at the time thought the idea was audaciously harebrained and voted it down.

I have to wonder why this story came back to public attention now, on Greek Independence Day, of all days. Of all the plans for Israelis to consider amidst current conditions, buying up Greek land for emergency evacuation is really stupid. They would've needed to execute that plan years ago. Starting now does them no good lmao
