@Malwen I am thanks. Septoplasty - I've had a deviated septum, since Nov 25 1967 - Pink Floyd playing Blackpool Opera House. I did not know that the kick to the head I got caused such damage. In my later years, breathing problems have caused sleep apnea and infections. It's been a slow recovery with lots of nasal rinses - healing produces clots and while not painful, it has been messy and I've had dull headaches from splints and pressure. I'm on the mend but full recovery is supposed to be 12 weeks.
