Similarly, users of these AI models should be subjected to the same scrutiny when it comes to the output of AI models. A widening of the definition of plagiarism is needed to prevent flooding of markets and cultural outlets with synthetically mass-produced likenesses of human artists' works at a pace that is impossible to match by real creators.

If left unchecked, the current trajectory of cultural and artistic production will lead to humans increasingly consuming substandard content created using AI. Not because it will be impossible to tell from human-created works, but because commercial outlets will simply abandon those in favor of cheaper automatically created content.
