@isaacfreeman@cloudisland.nz @mementomaori@kind.social I found the plot dragging so tedious in S02 I didn't even bother with S03. Especially when I saw comments that it was as bad if not worse in that respect. It's a shame because I loved the books and S01 was great.

@runoutgroover@social.vivaldi.net @mementomaori@kind.social I think it's good enough to be intensely frustrating that it's not better. But just barely. My wife gave up halfway through S03, and I watched the rest more out of morbid curiosity about why they chose to write it this way than any actual engagement with the plot or characters. It does feel like they finally pulled off a reason to care again in the very last episode, and I can't see why that needed to be held back. So I guess I'll watch the final season next year. They've successfully lowered my expectations so far that I might even enjoy it. Like the third Matrix film.
