@jaredwhite@indieweb.social It's all about the speed of development, which I understand to some degree (I'm told cocaine also makes you go pretty fast 😏)
It is genuinely shocking tho how many folks are willing not only to endorse all the negative second-order effects of gen AI, but also happily sign away their own freedom.
It makes me feel like we learned nothing from the social media era.

@camertron@ruby.social @jaredwhite@indieweb.social Coding has been my hobby since junior high school. And I do enjoy doing it. But really, I enjoy *solving challenging difficult problems*. With a focus on process problems. And honestly, not all that many people out there are good at that. Honestly, most people are terrible at it. If we had tools that did a decent job of "coding," enabling me to focus on the more difficult higher level problems, I'd embrace and run with them! But Generative AI LLMs are NOT it.
