I just encountered a unit of measurement that was new to me. I’ve no idea how long it’s been in use. Honestly, I’d be okay with it being decommissioned. I was speaking with a customer service person who had determined that she not only couldn’t handle my request, but also the people who *could* weren’t currently available. She said she had sent them a "high priority" message asking them to call me. Me: When can I expect to hear back from them? She: It could take as long as 48 business hours. Me: Business hours?! How many business hours are there in a day? She: 8 Me: So 48 business hours works out to 6 business days, right? That’s more than a week, right? She: (silence)
