@Tutanota@mastodon.social So, why is #fuckgoogle still working in Germany? 😁 They are spying on people and nothing happens. Funny, right?

@Tutanota@mastodon.social I would be more encouraged if international law, wasn't taking a nosedive along with more regional, and local adjudication. There's far too much overlapping ecosystem collapse, going on for any long term stability - especially among Capitalism countries.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social yea, anyone who has ever tried to download a picture from gmail knows gmail scans it and categorizes it depending on their internal zeitgeist

@Tutanota@mastodon.social Not sure here, while I share resentments against Google I am wondering what effect this might have. Does this mean federal mapping agencies also have to ask every property owner before publishing data according to EU regulation? I doubt so, but already now some public data providers use e.g. privacy law as an excuse to not share data publicly.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social The spying attributed to Google is incompetent: I just checked google map's view of my home and it contained some text at the bottom saying "Imagery @2026 Vexcel Imaging US, Inc." It showed a lot of vegetation in my back yard that was cut down several years ago and the yard currently looks quite different. "@2026" might be when Google got it, but is not when the image was created.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social Well, that’s really the least of the harm the tech bros are causing these days. How many decades do you think spy and commercial satellites have been around?
