we have had longer outages FROM AI SCRAPERS ddosing the site and nobody died, so no, i wouldn’t call that essential, not an excuse.

and here’s the thing. They didn’t have to admit to using Claude, and if they didn’t mention it nobody would fucking care! So why mention it, huh?
