So I don't think my grandfather is going to get a funeral or ceremony or anything. Guessing it's because the rest of my family on my mother's side is ultra-religious and considers the body to basically be a worthless vessel for the afterlife. I hate this so much, this worries me that after I die that they're just going to cremate my body and do absolutely nothing but put me on a shelf and forget I existed because they believe they'll see me in an afterlife. Being atheist in a religious family means no closure and it's absolute fuckshit.
