next, the poster responds i should be more careful. i say no, this is informal social media not a doctoral dissertation. etc, etc. we go back and forth in the usual pathetic social media slapfight and i get the block. fine. one less pedant to deal with (see below in the larger thread, if you're interested, but you shouldn't be unless you like popcorn)

@katzentratschen@mastodon.social @dictor@gaygeek.social @geoffl@mastodon.me.uk next another poster comes in with a whole portfolio of versions of the image and shows me how the version i used was just sort of touched up with AI. so i took one of the images different from what i originally posted, and ran it through three freebie AI image checkers. they all report high probability not AI. so that version of the image gets restored to the top post above 3/x
