@Estrella@dragonscave.space @bermudianbrit@mastodon.online Islay!! Great food, drink (distilleries and a brewery), scenery, walks, live music in a couple of pubs. Plenty of BnBs and small village pubs with accomm. No crowds.

@Estrella@dragonscave.space @bermudianbrit@mastodon.online If you can wait until July, try the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. But Llangollen is good anytime. Lots of good walks locally and its not far from Eryri (Snowdonia) if you want a bigger challenge. Also canal (world heritage site including Pontcysyllte aquaduct) and heritage railway. Good restaurants and pubs some with live music. Lived there 17 years and often go back.

@Estrella@dragonscave.space well, I have been to several places. I am pretty partial to Belfast. Stayed in an Air BNB although they are a lot more expensive than they used to be. However, There was much music to be had if you went to jam sessions at bars. A lot of traditional Irish music which I like a lot anyway but some other things too. Lots of history. It was a fairly easy city to get around as a blind person. I also liked Edinburgh a lot. some really cool museum things there. didn't find as much music as Belfast but still some. My favorite tourist type thing there was a place called Mary king's close which is an old street which is now burried under ground. Also spent a lot of time in doublin but Belfast is still my favorite. Would go back in a second if I find someone to go with. Could go alone but it is more fun with someone. @bermudianbrit@mastodon.online

@Estrella@dragonscave.space @bermudianbrit@mastodon.online Too many places in Scotland! What is your priority, music, food or nature? Lots of places in the Highlands can fit all three, depending often on luck, and it’s all steeped in history. As to B&Bs, many of the ones I have stayed in or have experience of may well have changed hands or moved by now.
