This little grid "problem" has been a blocker for me for ages now, across multiple projects lol. I'd end up giving up and saying "maybe next project" and still could never manage it.

@hejchristian@front-end.social @chriskirknielsen@front-end.social cc @patrickbrosset@mas.to — I initially thought that this should be possible to do via gap decorations with the `rule-inset`, but… these work only for _gaps_, but in this case we also need to add them between the grid edges and items, but not as a border. I tried to find if this use case was discussed somewhere in CSSWG, but couldn’t — maybe you know if this was considered/discussed already? :)
