I personally like the idea of a two-pronged approach: Asset Forfeiture AND Exile (or at least Expatriation) First of all, they lose money and property - not all of it, but enough that it's going to hurt. Think of it as an Idiot Tax. And the more they have, the more they lose. I'm not going to take the mobile home of a papaw that got duped by memes on Facebook, but I am absolutely going to clean Kid Rock out.

Second, they lose American citizenship. I don't think we actually have a formal "Forced Expatriation" process, but maybe it's time we get one. It could be temporary, like "you can apply again in 4 years", or it could be just a "no thank you, you can't be here" sort of thing. Most people still get to stay in the US, just not as citizens anymore. They lose all the rights that Citizenship has, and in order to legally stay they just have to apply for whatever the equivalent of a "Green Card" would be for them. They have such strong feelings about immigrants - let them experience the process in full and see how they like it. But there are some of them that I think need a full-on Exile. Alex Jones-types. Media figures, notable shitheads. Twitter allstars like Cat Turd or whatever his name is. They're all buddies with Russia anyway, let's see if Russia will take them.
