@loke@functional.cafe @jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net Very interesting. It seems that we target the same gap between Excel and something more scripting-like (e.g. Python) but at the same time, we have different audiences. Would like to get a deeper insight.

@numeredevs@fosstodon.org @jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net thanks for the comment. If you like videos, there are a few screencasts here. Unfortunately there is no video guide that explains all the concepts. They all assume some knowledge of array programming in general. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1O0vQqV4bnLM-pCfHXzP6g I've also written a bunch of blog posts: https://blog.dhsdevelopments.com/ In particular, this post may be of interest: https://blog.dhsdevelopments.com/array-languages-vs Kap doesn't solve all of these issues yet. The forms system addresses one part, but I still need a good way to do reports.

@numeredevs@fosstodon.org @jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net I checked out the project, and it's interesting how NumeRe does the other half of what Kap has been focusing on. If I understand things correctly, in NumeRe, the data analysis and visualisation comes first. The programming language appears to have grown out of these needs? Kap went the other way, starting our with a language that is convenient to use interactively and solves some of the main issues in other array languages. The UI came after, and is there primarily to serve the capabilities of the language. My video clips mainly show the UI, because it's easier to show, but the main effort is in the language itself.
