Built a gaming PC for my 7 y/o nephew. Everything except the GPU came out of my parts boxes: an i5-10500 on a B460 board, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1 TB NVMe, an H510 case, a 700 W PSU. The RX 9060 XT 16 GB was the only βnewβ part, and I got it on eBay. I put Bazzite on it.
Kid's got a $1700 (according to PCPartPicker) 1080p machine that cost me < $400 to build for him using my last spare DDR4 platform, and I feel it went to a great cause π I even found a monitor, speakers, and KB+mouse to include with the kit. Hopefully, this will last him to the bubble pop and he can then upgrade.

@Lydie@tech.lgbt I did that when covid hit and also chose bazzit for my twins. They are now 15 and both known Linux very well now. Good job!
