Very bored today, but now that I have time, I want to talk about my purchase on GOG games.
I got the game No Man's Sky off of GOG, and I am now super addicted to the game 😂. The vastness of the universe and exploration in that game is unbelievably large, and I just can't stop playing it. I'm even more fascinated as a hobbiest developer, since I can't even think of any way to make the game work as a concept. I am at least aware it is very procedurally generated.
As of currently, I became an overseer on a planet for a local population. When I found it for the first time, I didn't know this was something you can do (still new to game, exploring as I go). I'm having fun developing that settlement.
It's also where I first encountered sentinels, which just make life harder by keeping you from collecting resources. I also used a mining laser for my first combat with them, which is far from ideal (worse combat weapon possible).
There is just so much to do and you never run out of anything to do. I'm so grateful that Hello Games made it available on GOG games, because now I truely own the game under DRM-free gaming. I can truly enjoy this game forever!
