Very cool, and a smart decision.
Was back to living in Maryland by that point but definitely not down on the Mall. Had gone to those events many times in Jr and High School, and was seriously over people by then.
It is a blistering spot.
Hope you have a good 4th, Firefly, and not too much boom for the pups.

@czarbucks@m.ai6yr.org It was the FAFO of experiencing DC heat. And those were before the days of knowing how much water to bring, wearing a hat or sunscreen, etc. I probably smeared myself with baby oil, just to top things off.😬 You have a good (cool) 4th too!
