@PatrickoftheG I don't think it's always true that individual action isn't called for, but in this case it's clearly ineffective. Similar to conserving water by taking shorter showers when farms are allowed to flood their fields with more potable water than we could ever use. On the other hand, orienting your life around driving as little as possible matters.
