google forced gemini on my car, replacing the standard assistant, I just asked it if burger king in my local town is open and it goes
"Yes, because the store opens at 11, its currently open."
it is 10:40.
"Correct, because the Burger King in your town opens at 11, it's currently still closed."

for completeness, here's the first time gemini has decided to (without being prompted) randomly talk to me and actively listen for my reply. once again, i DID NOT press the button for it to talk to me, it just did that on its own.

@blumlaut@hounds.online I wanna point out that taking phone calls while driving is extremely dangerous, in ways that talking to a human next to you or listening to a podcast isn't. This probably also applies to regular voice agents, but I expect that to be even worse with LLMs, due to their erratic, unstructured responses https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_phones_and_driving_safety
