If you've ever felt a sense of "wow some of these AI enthusiasts are kind of cult-like" you've probably seen the effects of them.

@soatok@furry.engineer Not to mention some of the things they've siad directly point in that direction. Like the idea that "AI" could become a god. Or already is a god.

@soatok@furry.engineer Not sure if you're aware of this program: https://dair-institute.org/maiht3k/ . I've saved a lot of my sanity with it.

@soatok@furry.engineer Cult-like behaviour is the only explanation for the existence of AI enthusiasts that makes sense to me.

@soatok@furry.engineer They're just recreating Evangelical Christianity with a computer instead. You have an end times, a rapture, the faithful and unbelievers, the whole 9 yards. The machine will supposedly punish anyone who prevented it from existing, so Hell too. Anybody who has a faith with admonishments against idolatry and false religions should use this as a religious exemption against AI use.

@soatok@furry.engineer Have someone who can do a guru voice recite snippets along to royalty free new age, or 60's psychedelic rock, or maybe just gentle bongo beats like bad beat poetry.
