I think if FLOSS wants to stay relevant nowadays, it has to fulfill 3 things: * no AI whatsoever * full anonymity and freedom for human users (either in compliance with state identification laws or despite them) * no service for bots I have no technical solutions for combining the latter two. #FLOSS #LLMMeAlone #NoAI #NeverSlop #FreeSoftware #OpenSource #anonymity #BotProtection

An anonymous email provider used by bots to spam the Fediverse with thousands of account(registration)s? No good (I'm looking at you proton). A Fediverse software that is hosted on Microslop AIHub and allows vibecoding? No good (please reverse your way Mastodon). A FLOSS operating system embracing AI? No good (apparently only NetBSD is still good). An app repository full of FLOSS AI apps, crypto apps and right wing free speech software? No good (I still use F-Droid, but only for automatic updates of the 4 apps I use). A websearch that hast a noai. version but donations go to development and metastasizing of their own AI model? No good (duckduckgo). A comprehensive free knowledge database that sells data to AI companies because they'd steal it anyway and then complains about not getting donations by the users who's contributions they stole and sold? It's your own fault (Wikipedia). What are some positive examples? Afaik: NetBSD, Signal (I guess Molly too), Codeberg, GoToSocial, Bonfire, ...
