@mohshbair there's a muscle that tightens the ear drum in order to protect your hearing in response to loud noises - trauma can very probably mess with that reflex, I imagine a war zone is exactly the sort of thing to screw it up :( If it's that then it should not be permanent at least. Fingers crossed for you x

@srtcd424 Thank you so much for your concern and for this information. Your point is very valid; the circumstances we lived through were difficult for all our senses, not just hearing. Hopefully, this is just a phase and it will pass, and that what you said is true and not something permanent. Thank you for your kind words and prayers.🤍
