the Clowns are playing a game in "the oldest ballpark in America" (in Birmingham, AL) today and they opened the pre-show with a huge tribute to a bunch of notable historic Negro Leagues players who played for the original Clowns at various points, with a special shoutout to the fact that all of the names they mentioned played in the same ballpark that the modern Clowns are playing at this weekend it always gives me fucking goosebumps when they lean into the historical aspect like this, like goddamn i love how they pulled this team together with actual historians and shit
