For sighted users, scrolling and mouse-clicking pushed out learning keyboard shortcuts pretty quickly. I know people who don’t even know about tabbing through a form. Similar psychology?
It does not help that operating systems and applications never cooperated very well on either standard shortcuts, or being able to remap them.

@clew@ecoevo.social @gins@mastodon.gamedev.place @WeirdWriter@caneandable.social one of the main reasons I, as a sighted person, am not switching away from MacOS is because I can keyboard shortcut my way around so much better. My partner used to be the same but he's been back on Windows for more than 5 years for work reasons (c# .Net) and I noticed recently, standing behind him, that the mouse clicking drives me absolutely insane even just as a spectator.
