@michaelc@scholar.social I get it! I didn’t want to get into buying stuff immediately so I did everything by hand with minimal tools for over a year. But once you start, it kind of all just expands on its own. I’ve got more cotton to process now so I bought hand carding brushes. I’m trying to keep it simple, but it’s bound to escalate.

@potterybyosa@mastodon.social Yeah, I'm like, "How much room and/or money can a drop spindle take? I could probably make one out of materials I find around my home." Reminds me of something I saw recently that described a hobby as "something that starts out as curiosity and ends as a storage problem."
