Technology like GPT just adds to the overwhelm. It makes up false information, it generates a lot of stuff that is difficult to sort through, and it's literally unavoidable. Not to mention how corporations are trying to force people to use it for work, without giving them a choice in the matter.
It's literally making the problem worse. It's adding to the cognitive overload not reducing it

@shauna@social.coop it's impossible to trust it, even. It makes things up, misinterprets and misrepresents information. I'll Google an ionization energy for a molecule and the Google AI will give me a result that is for an entirely different molecule while passing it off as the answer I'm looking for.
