It's simple
You could have acquired this data legally in digital form.
You could ask if you're allowed to do that.
Not everyone wants their work fed into these things.
There's a big difference between a human being reading a book or a scientific treatise and a machine devouring it.

Of course, this has been done before— book burning. It was a long time ago, and many would say you can’t apply it directly to today, but in a way, I do. New times, new ways of stripping books of their soul— but also of the freedom and knowledge they can bestow. (Oh, wait— I think they’re recycling the books… sorry) 3/3
