@jik@federate.social With the caveat that I will of course vote blue no matter who, I just know that a lot of people are unenthused about Newsom for the reasons you bring up. I'm sure the internal polling reflects that or he would run for sure. Beyond that? IDK, I'm laser focused on the midterms. I hope like hell that somebody eventually runs who has been a real fighter against fascism. Otherwise, since we don't even know who the candidates might be, I don't have any thoughts on 2028 for now. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@MaryAustinBooks@mstdn.social @jik@federate.social I'm with you - focused on the midterms. I will also vote for any blue, but right now, I'm more about people who I really don't think should be there - Newsom, and Rahm Emmanual are at the top of that list. And I hope Harris isn't serious about running again. I think the Democrats have a lot of potential talent and as soon as the midterms are over, I'm all about it.

I wish I was hearing more about actual plans to stop the fascists. My rep is ok but doesn’t seem to understand we are also now in the #climatecrisis We need extreme action for the Earth and for democracy. I told my guy if anyone more progressive comes along they will get my vote. #VoteBlueNoMatterWho
