Otherwise, great session: the adventurers (only two of them plus a follower) almost got killed on the way back out of a dungeon they'd been mostly quietly exploring for weeks. It was really close but only the NPC failed to escale. A just discovered magic item helped quite a bit in the chase, and through a succession of (un) turned into a sentient artefact. Oh, and the whole region around the dungeon was briefly swallowed in magical darkness. Quiet day at the office I guess.
