I generally don't want to be forced to use a phone and the internet when that can be avoided. Thankfully QR code as the only way to see the menu at a restaurant isn't popular where I live. Most places have them, but most of those would also just give you paper menus by default. Also, you wouldn't lose much by not having a bank account at all. Almost everything can be paid in cash.
